Duck liver is rich in protein, iron, copper and zinc. Copper and zinc work together to improve the immune response, nervous system function, and healthy digestion alongside fighting against free radicals and reducing oxidative stress. Both are additionally necessary for the proper maintenance of coat and skin health.

In general, secreting organs like liver, brain, kidney, etc are the most nutrient dense part of an animal. While they are a vital part of your pet's health and crucial components to nutritional balance, liver must be fed in moderation, not to exceed 5% of the total daily diet.

For pets who are new to organs, please introduce slowly and gradually starting with just a few broken pieces a day. Giving too much of a good thing very suddenly can be too rich for your animal and may result in stool change.

If you start to notice darker loose stools, skip feeding for a day or so until both shape and color resumes back to its usual form before feeding again.
